Look.  I have a stupid dog.  I know that.  My friends know that.  But when someone I don’t know that well or don’t particularly like that much comes to my house and remarks on the stupidity of my dog, he is immediately rebuked.  The thing is he is my dog and this is our house.  You don’t come into someone’s house and insult them.  It is flat out unseemly.

 

People talk all the time about what it means to be “un-American”.  Some say criticizing the president is.  I say not.  Some say criticizing the war is.  I say not.  Some say attempting to rip the heart out of that which is the fabric of this country is.  I say not.  Some say proclaiming a hatred of the America in which we live is.  And, even to that, I say not.

 

But if a leader of another country can come to your home and insult your president and you are not offended, I say that you embody the fullness of what it means to be un-American.  Period.

 

And one more thing.   I am sick of people from other countries (whether they be “leaders” or common folk) trying to tell me just how awful my country has become.  It is none of you blasted business.  You have plenty of problems at your home that you ought to be taking care of.  And if it sickens you that the USA is the world power, buck up and take our place.
